Kruger Park & Cape Town & Durban

2011 WSG SA Tour Options


Field trips for all students coming up: We will offer a tour to a National Park, either Pilanesberg National Park or Kruger Park. 

All students will receive detailled information upon arrival in South Africa during our "Welcome Orientations" or during the running program, depending on their program start. 


You have the choice to join us on the following tours:


Package 1: Kruger Park / Start and end of tour: Johannesburg Int'l Airport

Tour 1: 02. April - 05. April 2011 
Tour 2: TBA
 


Package Price Kruger Park:

R 5750 for students placed in Durban, Stanger, Pretoria, Witbank, Vanderbjilpark, V-Town, in Mokopane/Polokwane

R 6550 for students placed in Cape Town (Western Cape) 

  

Students from Durban and Cape Town will need to fly into Jo-burg and return on the last day of the tour back home. (Flights are part of the package price offered, no local transfers to and from Durban or CT airport are included.)


SAMPLE: DAY 1: Our group will meet and depart from Jo-burg Airport (Domestic Terminal) and drive via Mokopane/Polokwane towards Blyde River Canyon. Overnight stay at hostel/hotel (Dinner included.) DAY 2: We will enjoy a nice breakfast and enjoy our time at Blyde River Canyon, Burke's Luck Potholes and God's Window. The historical town of Pelgrim's Rust, where the first Gold Rush took place, will be on route for us! Via Hazyview we will be entering Kruger National Park. Overnight at Rest Camp (Dinner included). DAY 3: We will drive with open game vehicles through the park to see the animals close up - our big Safari Day! (Overnight at Rest Camp, Dinner included). DAY 4: Continue to look out for the big and small five before we leave Kruger Park and drive back (via Polokwane/Mokopane) to Jo-burg International Airport, where our tour comes to an end.


Our package includes: 3 nights shared accommodation, breakfast and dinner, coach transport, game drive (Safari), certified badge guide, all entrance fees to Kruger National Park, conservation fees, toll road fees. 


WSG Shuttle Service: Mokopane and Polokwane students will be picked up and droped at no additional costs. Also students placed in Witbank or Vanderbjilpark will be transfered to and from Jo-burg Airport at no additional costs. 
 


Package 2: Cape Town & Whale Watching* / Start and end of tour Johannesburg Int'l Airport or upon arrival of Tour Guide and WSG Team member at CT Int'l Airport for students coming from Durban or joining us directly in CT.


Tour 1: TBA (Tour not on offer if Welcome Orientation Camp is held in Cape Town)
 


Package Cape Town & East Coast

R 5900 for students placed in Mokopane/Polokwane (including private shuttle bus to/from Jo-burg Airport)

R 5800 for student placed in Gauteng/Mpumalanga/Kwazulu Natal

R 3500 for students placed in the Cape Town Area (start and end of tour at hotel)


* Seasonal: Whale Watching

DAY 1: Our group will meet at Jo-burg Aiport (Domestic Terminal) or at Durban Airport and fly to Cape Town Airport. Upon arrival in Cape Town our group will be transfered to Cape Town. Check In at our hotel in Sea Point. Before or after dinner    at the hotel the group will take a walk down to the sea or simply enjoy the ocean view from our great hotel! DAY 2: Today   will be our big Cape Town Sightseeing day! Enjoy the drive via Chapman's Peak towards Cape of Good Hope, come back    via False Bay, Muizenberg to CT. Dinner/Shopping will be at the Royal Albert Waterfront Center directly at Cape Town harbour. DAY 3: We will board the bus again and drive to Hermanus for Whale Watching. On our way back we plan to stop in Stellenbosch. Dinner included at the hotel. On DAY 4 we will check out and enjoy a bit more of Cape Town before we    need to drive back to the airport and end our fantastic tour!


Our CT package includes: Breakfast and dinner, shared hotel accommodation, certified badge guide and extensive tour program in Cape Town and Eastern Cape Area, entrance fees to Cape Point National Park, photo stop on Signal Hill. 


WSG Shuttle Service: Students from Witbank, Vanderbijlpark, Mokopane and Polokwane will be picked up by a private shuttle at a central meeting point and transfered to Johannesburg Airport as well as being transfered back at the end of the tour.




Meeting points / Departures: It is the students responsibility to organize his/her own transfers to and from the general meeting points. WSG SA cannot be held liable or is in any way responsible if a student misses the departure. It is also the students responsibility to reimburse the person who is driving him or her to the airport /meeting point to cover petrol costs involved! 


"Medical Tip": Students are responsible for their own malaria prophylaxis (Kruger Park only) and sun protection.
